Please note : Screws are not supplied for bracket fixings and are dependent on the surface to which you are fixing please see chart below for recommended guide :

Please ensure roller tubes are installed level to prevent telescoping. If your blind is telescoping, please check out the last section on how to solve this with a simple fix. It’s important to periodically check your blinds are tracking correctly and are not telescoping as this could damage the edges of your fabric.

Note: Side Channels will need to be installed square and properly slotted into the top of the headbox to stop light seepage.

For full four sided cassettes, please ensure the corner plastic blocks are sitting in this position so that the base rail can properly slot into the bottom channels.

Ensure your blind is properly slotted into your brackets and not telescoping. To fix a telescoping issue which can be caused by out of square install of the brackets and internal window, check this section here.

Note: Side Channels will need to be installed square and properly slotted into the top of the headbox to stop light seepage. If they are installed flush to the sides of your windows then this will create larger gaps between the internal side channel and edge of fabric, creating light seepage. There is a 2mm deduction made so that the full cassette fits into your opening, so your internal build up may be necessary.

For full four sided cassettes, please ensure the corner plastic blocks are sitting in this position so that the base rail can properly slot into the bottom channels.

For windows that are out of square, this can cause the side channels to not sit in the headbox properly, as they are made slightly smaller to fit into the window opening, you will need to lift the bottom channel up by a few mm’s, so you will need to create your own timber build out where the channels can sit onto, where they aren’t sitting along your out of square window which will contribute to light seepage. We always recommend a face install for the cassette blinds for ease of installation, as the difficulty in installing recess fits is significantly higher.

Linked Roller Blinds

With Independently controlled linked blinds, your roller blinds will come with a chain control on both the outer ends, they are joined in the middle by an intermediate middle bracket with a pin hole insert. Each pin end of your two blinds will sit in the same middle bracket.

For ZeroGravity cordless blinds: The blind will come configured from the factory to the correct spring tension. A plastic cap will be on the clutch/hook end of the blind that will hold tension in the spring, this will also prevent the tension lock from accidentally being pressed in transit or prior to placing the blind onto the brackets. Make sure not to press this button accidentally prior to putting the blind onto its brackets or the spring will de-tension.

Place the blind up on the brackets as you have received it, on the pin end first as in the roller blind installation pdf, after removing the blue plastic cap and placing the hook end in last. Careful not to depress the button on the hook end before it goes onto the brackets.

To further tighten the balance of the blind if it is not sitting correctly, adjust tension with spanner provided, use only very minor adjustments, do not over adjust (Spanner can only add tension and not remove it, use spanner if blind does not stay up). Test to see if it is now properly balanced. Repeat the process until desired functioning is achieved. To release tension in the blind, take blind off the brackets and roll the blind down one turn, then place back on with same instructions as above.

Fabric Care:

Surface dust should be removed with duster or soft cloth. Never use abrasive products or solvents/industrial based cleaners. Do not allow dust to accumulate. Regularly gently vacuum with appropriate attachment. Do not wash. Do not dry clean. Test in an inconspicuous area with mild soap prior to spot cleaning. Do not allow blind to become fully wet, use damp cloth only. Do not wind up when damp.

 

Motorisation | Roller Blind Battery + Wired Models Assembly & Programming

Please note: Hardwired motors require a licensed electrician to first connect them to the mains power.

Please note for BATTERY MOTORS: We are using an alternative part to the one used in the videos below. The newer part uses the two screws that come with the motor to attach to the motor head. Do not use any other screws apart from the small ones provided with the motors to attach the bracket adapter to the motor head. Use of any other screws will damage the motor. If you have lost any we can send you a spare, just contact us.

Please note: It’s important that the limits are properly set as per the instructions when programming your motors. Failure to do so may result in blind rolling past its limits and the base rail being caught up and behind the blind’s brackets, this could damage your blind.

Please note: For battery motors, the critical point when setting the limits is to pay attention to the “very important” step in the instructions which illustrates that the setting hole needs to be pushed in a third time after setting the TOP and BOTTOM limits to “SAVE” the limits into the motor’s memory. Failing to do so could result in the limits setting timing out and being forgotten by the motor.

Please Note: The roller blind MUST NOT be placed onto the brackets with the HOOK side first. Always insert the pin end side first, then the hook side.

Please Note: Also pay attention to the levelness of the brackets and if they have been installed straight, it’s important the hooks on the blind are inserted properly into the brackets and pushed down at installation time. If the brackets are twisted or out of level, over time this could potentially lift out or have the hook rest on the point of the bracket at which they are not designed to bear the load of the blind, creating a falling hazard.

Our motors do incorporate safety features where once the rated torque of the motor is reached, if the motor encounters resistance, it will stop rolling. However, as an added precaution we insist our customers pay attention to the above points.

Please note: Battery motors are shipped with a less than 20% charge, due to requirements and restrictions in transporting lithium-ion batteries. The motors MUST be charged to 100% prior to attempting to set the limits and programming the motor. Failure to do so may result in the blind receiver not operating properly causing the limits to not be set properly at time of installation, or the limits being forgotten by the motor.

For motorised curtain tracks:

You will need at least 2 people. Do not yet attach the motor to the track. If your track came with a join, please read the joining instructions first. Please read the standard curtain guide above prior to commencing, however you will need to make minor adjustments as to how your track will go up, line your bracket placements up to your ceiling battens or wall studs whilst the track is on the floor or while helpers hold the track in its place on the wall or ceiling, and mark the position of your ceiling battens & wall studs with a pencil on the top of your track. Take the track down, and then insert the brackets into your track, you may need the help of a rubber mallet to help the brackets sit 90 degree inside the roof of the track. Ensure brackets are securely fixed sitting 90 degrees to your track. Next, lift your track up to the ceiling or on the wall with the wall depending on the mount type you’ve chosen, with brackets attached (the wall brackets are attached with a nut and bolt to the butterfly brackets), and mark with a pencil through the bracket holes where your brackets will sit on the ceiling or wall (Depending on the mount type you chose). You can then, with some help, put your track up, and fix it into your ceiling battens or wall studs. If you are struggling to get your brackets to line up with your battens or wall studs, you will need to use a hollow grip wall anchor. After your Curtain is hung on the track, you can then attach the motor to the track and follow the programming instructions for your motor.

General operation

  • When rotating blades tilt two blades at the same time from the centre of the panel.
  • To open hinged panels, tilt open blades and pull the fixed stile.
  • Never open or close the panels by pulling the blades.
  • To avoid damage to the frame, larger panels should be lifted into frame by the stile or under the mid rail.
  • Do not put hands through blades to access window.
  • Blades must be closed before panels of bi-fold shutters are folded back.
  • If blades are stiff or loose, adjust the tension screw located on the side of the panels until desired tension is reached.

Care and cleaning instructions:

  • Dust panels with feather duster or gently vacuum with a soft brush attachment.
  • To remove persistent dirt or stains use a soft slightly damp cloth with mild soapy solution and dry immediately.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or scrub or rub shutters harshly to avoid tarnishing finish.
  • Keep Sliding and Bi-Fold tracks free from dirt and dust.
  • Use silicone spray if needed on tracks only. Do not spray silicon on shutters.
  • Rotate blades regularly to maintain longevity of function.

Small Issues & Easy Fixes

If your window being out of square is causing issues due to your brackets being fixed into the top of the recess, you may also try fixing screws through the sides of the bracket holes and adjust the levelling position this way.
